Mass Media and Media Literacy is an advanced course helps learners to develop and enhance their ability to understand and appreciate media content, to understand the components of the mass communication process, and to think critically about the content they receive. This course is divided into 8 units.
Total learning hours of 11 hours (Total length of the courses video 5 hours 32 minutes)
1. Learners can understand the historical evolution of the various technologies and means of mass communication
2. Learners can recognize the role played by the mass media in politics, economy and society, as well as in the process of cultural globalization
3. Learners able to develop the ability to use the media correctly and to utilize them effectively
4. Learners able to understand how the media convey information and judge its value independently
Learners with a certain degree of basic English, whose English proficiency meets the requirements of university English courses; Communication majors; English majors; and Learners interested in mass media and media literacy.
Unit Test for each units 60% Graded
Final Exam 40% Graded
Learners requires no less than 70% in order to pass the course and eligible to receive the certificate
