Course Description
This course introduces Design Thinking for Disaster Risk Management. Learners will gain knowledge of design thinking principles and processes, disaster risk management types and principles, utilizing design thinking in disaster risk management, tools and techniques, relevant laws and policies, and upcoming innovations. Moreover, learners will be able to explain the significance of design thinking in crises, especially in Thailand, analyze management techniques from other countries, and apply their acquired knowledge to actual situations involving themselves, their families, and their communities.
Learning Objectives
1. Learners will be able to explain the fundamental concepts of design thinking for disaster risk management.
2. Learners will be able to select suitable solutions after reading articles and learning materials that differ from their previous experiences and perspectives.
3. Learners will be able to apply the principles from the lessons to solve specific problems caused by disasters.
4. Learners will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of design thinking when applied to disaster situations.
